A STUDY ON REMOTED DISCRETE MODEL REFERENCE ADAPTIVE CONTROL FOR AN UNCERTAIN SYSTEM IN THE PRESENCE OF TIME DELAY
This paper proposes a remoted model reference adaptive controller for a discrete-time system in the presence of uncertain dynamic and time delay effects in the measurement and actuation channels. In the control scheme, the drawback of the control plant with unknown parameters, unknown time delay is overcome by adaptation of controller parameters. Stability of the closed loop control is achieved by means of discrete-time Lyapunov’s stability theory. A model reference adaptive based remoted speed controller over the LoRa wireless for a DC motor is used to demonstrated the design objective. The effectiveness of the proposed remoted speed controller was verified through simulations and experiments.

DOUBLE DIFFUSIVE MIXED CONVECTION OF CASSON FLUID IN THE PRESENCE OF SORET AND DUFOUR EFFECTS: VELOCITY, TEMPERATURE AND CONCENTRATION PROFILES
The effects of Soret and Dufour parameters, as well as mixed convection and buoyancy ratio parameters on double diffusive mixed convection of Casson fluid flow due to an exponentially shrinking sheet are carried out. The temperature and concentration of the fluid on the shrinking sheet are assumed to have an exponential function. Non-similarity method is applied to reduce the governing basic equations (flow, momentum, energy and concentration equations) to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODEs). These equations are solved numerically by bvp4c program in Matlab software. Stability analysis is performed to deal with dual solutions. The numerical results of velocity, temperature and concentration are presented, subjected to the governed parameters in the modelled problem.

ANALYSIS OF SOME MINERAL ELEMENTS IN VEGETABLES GROWN THROUGH IRRIGATION IN KAZAURE, NIGERIA
Vegetables are excellent source of most nutrients and essential vitamins and minerals that play a vital role in ameliorating food deficit and overcoming nutrition problem. This study was undertaken to investigate some mineral element levels in three commonly edible vegetables grown irrigational in Kazaure. Lactuca sativa (lettuce), Lycopersicum esculentum (tomato) and Allium sepa (onion) were analyzed for copper, Potassium, iron, Phosphorus and magnesium. The level of Copper, iron, phosphorous and Magnesium were determined using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (Perkin Elmer Corporation, Norwalk Model) and flame Photometer was used for Potassium. The concentrations of Copper ranged from 0.23 mgkg-1 (onion) at Wawarafi to 0.41 mgkg-1 (lettuce) Kazaure dam while 0.49 mgkg-1 of potassium was recorded for onion (Wawarafi) to 1.83 mgkg-1 in tomato at Gada. For Iron, 0.13 mgkg-1 was determined in onion to 0.87 mgkg-1 in lettuce at Gada. More so, 1.05 mgkg-1 phosphorus was recorded for lettuce at Wawarafi to 1.87 mgkg-1 in tomato of Gada. However, 0.09 mgkg-1of magnesium recorded in tomato (Wawarafi) to 0.20 mgkg-1 in lettuce (Gada ). The data obtained from the analysis showed variation in abundance and distribution of the mineral elements mainly within the acceptable limits.

AN ASSESSMENT OF THE IMPACT OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT (FDI) ON NIGERIAN ECONOMY
The paper is an examination of and foreign direct investment (FDI) and trade openness on economic growth in Nigeria between 1980 and 2017. Empirical researches had established that outward oriented economies growth faster than closed economies. Other factors identified that cause economy to grow include foreign direct investment, globalization, and trade liberalization, investment in physical capital, exchange rate, foreign aids, among others. This study examines the impact of foreign direct investment and trade openness on economic growth in Nigeria between 1980 and 2016. Data were sourced from the publication of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Statistical Bulletin within the period under review. Unit Root Test, Johensen Co-integration and Error Correction Models (ECM) were adopted as econometric techniques. The result of the analysis revealed that FDI has positive but insignificant impact on economic growth. But, openness has found to have impacted negatively on economic growth in both the long-run and the short-run. Based on these findings it was recommended that, there is the need to make a check and balances analysis with regards to FDI by the Nigerian economic policy makers in order to understand the working of FDI; this is clearly because most of the country’s economic growth is not achieved through foreign direct investment. The study further recommended that, since the economic openness has negative impact on economic growth, it is therefore suggested that, government should sustain its current efforts of diversifying the economy in order to achieve export led economy.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT IN HUMAN RESOURCE IN OIL COMPANIES FROM TECHNOLOGIES PERSPECTIVES A LITERATURE REVIEW
The aim of the current workis to discuss how has human resource (HR) and knowledge management (KM) technologies been developed in oil and gas industry. In order to fulfil this aim, four sub questions were formulated, which sought to understand: how technologies are supporting KM activities, HR activities, cultural KM relations, and the relations between HR and KM. This was done with the main purpose of coming up with a model that explains the development of HR and KM technologies. The study assumed a secondary approach wherein secondary data from peer reviewed studies were used in coming up with the findings. The different studies used in coming up with the findings were discussing how knowledge management has developed in the field of HR also the significance of understanding the oil and gas industry HRKM Technologies. According to the findings of the research, the importance of the developed Framework /Model for HR and KM can summarized into three major points: (1) there are the unique meanings of the term KM strategy; (2) the normal use of correlation of technologies to knowledge processes in the past studies has not adequate enough to explain their links to business strategy; and (3) technologies applied in KM can be used together in many different levels. The findings suggested contingency approach, which centres on KM initiatives, might be helpful when it comes to explaining the manner in which KM technologies can support strategy.
